The key to the Secret Garden

Mary was a bad-tempered girl. Nobody liked her, and she didn’t like anybody either. She was sent to Yorkshire to live with her uncle when her parents died. The house was big and old. Almost every room was locked. So was the “Secret Garden”. Servant Martha and Gardener Ben were Mary’s only friends. Later Mary met the son of Martha who was called Dickon and made friends with him. Dickon was a kind boy. He made Mary become a friendly girl. Mary heard about the “Secret Garden”, and she found the key and the garden inadvertently. So Mary and Dickon worked in the “Secret Garden” happily and tried to make it spry. But Mary often heard a strange cry. Later she found an ailing boy, Colin. He was the son of Mary’s uncle. He was weak and he never went out. So he was lonely and cranky. Mary told him the stories about how Dickon and she worked and played in the “Secret Garden”. She cheered Colin up. They played together in the garden and enjoyed the goodliness. The “Secret Garden” was the secret they hold out on. Finally, uncle Craven entered the “Secret Garden” which was locked by him after his wife died. The people who are waiting for him, were Mary, Dickon, and his healthy son Colin.
There is a secret garden in everyone’s heart. It’s your dreams, hopes, experiences and memories. Most people want to share their hearts with others but they don’t know who can keep the secrets for them. So they lock the doors of their gardens. Some people do this also because of sad memories. No matter what kind of people they are, the key to the garden is love. To make them feel the true love is the only way to open the door. But entering the garden does not mean you win. You should take good care of the garden. Use your love, your heart, to make it full of flowers and birds, make it like spring, make people feel warm and happy. Then the garden will not be a “Secret Garden” any more. It’s a garden of love.
And please open your door, get on well with others, let you become a friendly and outgoing person. Everyone needs esteem of others. It’s the true feeling from the hearts of human being. Why do people respect some great people? Because of their great soul and spirits. They are kind to everyone. They do everything in a happy mood. They like to help others. But bad-tempered people can’t make others like them even if they want to be respected by others very much. Mary’s bad temper made her lonely. Luckily, Dickon appeared. He took her out of the lonely world, using his love to open the door of the “Secret Garden” in Mary’s heart. After changing her temper, Mary is no longer a lonely girl. She has friends and everyone cares about her and loves her. So your own actions is very important.
I always think, why some books can be liked by people for such a long time? Maybe it’s because of its beautiful sentences, or some interesting stories. But the most important thing is the truth which the author wants to tell us. The “Secret Garden” can be so famous, I think it’s also because of the spirit and love.
