1.2 More about photosynthesis

                       Continued

Part 2: Carrying out the investigation

Collect the equipment that you chose in your plan.
Make sure you have your step-by-step method to follow.
                       Questions

1 Scientists almost always find that they need to change something – even if it is
only very small – when they carry out the experiment they have planned. Did
you change anything in your plan? If so, explain what you changed, and why.
2 Write down a conclusion that you can make from your results.

                            Do they support your hypothesis?

                       Summary checklist

I can explain that photosynthesis happens in chloroplasts, because this is where
                            chlorophyll is found.
I can explain why plants need magnesium and nitrate.

I can suggest a hypothesis, and plan an experiment to test it.
I can make a risk assessment of my experiment, and carry out practical work
                            safely.
