The documentary Five Thousand Years of Chinese Characters is invested and filmed by Hanban and aired on the International channel of CCTV. During two years of filming, the crew went to 12 countries and interviewed hundreds of world-renowned scholars in an endeavour to investigate into the origin of Chinese characters and exhibit the glorious and magnificent Chinese culture through literature exploration, archeological research and discussions with experts. Five Thousand Years of Chinese Characters selects 32 representative characters and revealed the history behind the development of characters in a story-telling way.
