FLTRP Delegation Visited Thailand:Enhanced Cooperation and Fruitful Outcomes

From February 12 to 16,2025, a delegation from FLTRP visited Thailand at the invitation of Aksorn Education PLC, a leading Thai educational publishing partner, to further deepen cooperation in educational publishing and promote the development and sharing of high-quality educational resources.



The delegation visited the Basic Education Commission of the Thai Ministry of Education, meeting and exchanging ideas with Ms. Atittaya, Director of the Outstanding Talent Development Center, and Mr. Zhao Cheng, Director of the Chinese Language Office. The delegation introduced FLTRP’s key initiatives and future vision in educational services, particularly in Chinese language education. Ms. Atittaya praised FLTRP’s efforts in advancing Chinese language education and shared updates on Thailand’s latest policies and developments in Chinese language education at the basic education level. Discussions focused on innovative teaching models, teacher training, and digital resource sharing, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.



During the visit, Aksorn organized a specialized training session for Chinese language teachers, attracting over 250 participants, including academic leaders and frontline teachers from more than 100 schools in Bangkok and surrounding areas. Ju Hui, Director of Chinese Language and Culture Publishing, FLTRP, delivered a lecture titled Making Learning Truly Happen. Using Go for It(Thai Edition)—a textbook co-published by FLTRP and Aksorn—as an example, she shared insights on designing innovative resources and teaching methods to spark student engagement and enhance educational outcomes.






To better understand Thailand’s educational landscape and needs, the delegation visited multiple schools, including Rajavinit Prathom Bangkae School, Boonyavitayakarn School, Anuban Chon Buri School, and Wutthiwitthaya School. Through on-site inspections, in-depth discussions with school administrators and teachers, and classroom observations, the delegation gained detailed insights into the schools’needs regarding Chinese curriculum design, teaching resources, teacher development, and student exchanges. This groundwork will enable FLTRP to provide more targeted educational services in the future.




During the visit, FLTRP and Aksorn held extensive discussions on deepening collaboration and toured Aksorn’s headquarters and printing facilities. Mr. Chainarong, President of Aksorn, emphasized the growing demand for Chinese language education in Thailand and expressed a commitment to advancing cooperation with FLTRP in developing full-stage Chinese teaching resources and teacher training, guided by digital innovation. Ju Hui noted the alignment in educational philosophies between the two parties and pledged to co-create high-quality resources and integrated solutions for Thai schools. The two sides signed a Copyright Export Agreement for "Discover China", marking a new phase in their publishing partnership.

The delegation also met with representatives from the Private Education Commission of Thailand’s Ministry of Education, the Confucius Institute at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, the Maritime Silk Road Confucius Institute, and the Confucius Classroom at Chitralada School to understand the needs of teachers and students from Thai private schools and Confucius Institute (Confucius Classroom). Copies of the Journal of International Chinese Language Education (Chinese-English)were donatedto Zhaohui Libraryof the Confucius Institute at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University.

The delegation included Li Dan, Senior Rights Manager of the Division for International Cooperation, and Fan Zhendong, Marketing Manager of the Chinese Language and Culture Publishing, FLTRP.
