Project: How do plants use water?

Project: How do plants use water?

Make a zig-zag book explaining the journey of water

                 through a flowering plant.

A zig-zag book is like a ‘fold up’ poster.
You need to draw and write to explain

                 how water:

                 • is in the soil, My story of the journey
                                                                             a plant
                 • is absorbed by the roots, of water through

                 • moves up the stems,
                 • is used in leaves and flowers.

Start by researching in books and
on the internet. Then write and draw

diagrams to explain what happens to some water

                 water in a plant. leaf
                                                                            leaves each
Use arrows to show how the water

                 moves in the plant.

Open the book to watch the water + air

                                                                                            are used

                                                                  up the plant
