The book is a game reference book for Chinese classes in primary and secondary schools. The author of the book has many years’ experience in Chinese teaching to K-12 students in North America. All the games in the book have been used by the author several times in his own class with good effects. There are many kinds of games, such as puzzle games which are conducive to the physical and mental development of teenagers, tone training games that fit the characteristics of the Chinese language, and TPR games
and TPRS games which are very popular with teachers and students. The author gives a detailed introduction to each kind of game, and provides specific steps for how to employ these games into the Chinese class with a lively view of the game scene. Applying these games to the Chinese class in primary and middle schools can really make students “learning byplaying” and “playing by learning”, thus stimulating their interest in learning and improving teaching efficiency.
