FLTRP President Wang Fang Invited to Attend the “2025 Pearson Night” Event

On 29th October, 2025, the "Endless Learning, Boundless Education—2025 Pearson Night" event, organized by the global education group Pearson, was held in Beijing. Wang Fang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of FLTRP Group, Chair of the Board of FLTRP Group, and President of FLTRP, attended as the sole representative from publishing houses and delivered a speech. She shared FLTRP’s practices in digital transformation and explored the development path of digital education publishing with Pearson and industry partners.

In her speech, President Wang Fang shared her thoughts on the development of the industry. She pointed out that the current publishing industry in China and abroad is experiencing an uneven situation, with domestic publishing institutions facing multiple challenges such as market contraction and channel restructuring— “breaking the downward trend” has become an urgent issue to address; while international publishing giants have entered a stage of deep development driven by artificial intelligence, effectively resisting market downturn pressures. Digital intelligence has become a “must-answer question” for the high-quality development of the publishing industry. She introduced the digital transformation practices of FLTRP in recent years, stating that FLTRP has built a matrix of digital products covering different user groups and application scenarios, driving the improvement of educational effectiveness through digital capabilities. She noted that Pearson is leading industry transformation with a forward-looking vision on the road to digital intelligence, and FLTRP hopes to join forces with Pearson to move forward together, so that high-quality educational resources can benefit global learners through digital intelligence.

Sharon Hague, President of Pearson English Language Learning and CEO Pearson UK, expressed her gratitude to Chinese partners for their long-term support in her speech. She stated that Pearson is committed to helping people achieve the life they aspire to through learning, serving learners of all ages through its five global business divisions. She looks forward to collaborating with Chinese partners such as FLTRP to launch solutions that better meet the needs of education in China. Elaine Cao, Vice President of English Language Learning and CEO Pearson Greater China, reviewed Pearson's development philosophy of "Learn More. Live More." and the vision of each business line, expressing the hope to work hand in hand with partners to pursue “Endless Learning, Boundless Education”.

FLTRP and Pearson have enjoyed a 28-year history of cooperation. The classic products jointly developed, such as New Concept English, Speakout, Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, and Family Album USA, have become benchmark products for Chinese learners to improve their foreign language skills. In the era of digital intelligence, both sides will draw on their practical experience and market insights to deepen innovative cooperation in the field of digital intelligence, work together to create more high-quality educational products, and enable digital intelligence education to illuminate the path of growth for more people.
